Ryan Video Bonanza

21st Century Coathanger - Glen Iris
November 2008

To celebrate the release of 'The Difficult Third Compilation', Coathanger's archivists have been busy restoring much of the Ryan video collection that was literally buried in the wake of the dual tornados that last April, struck the Ryan Library in Leavenworth, Kansas (See: Connie's Newsletter)

Amongst the dozen or more clips that have been salvaged and added to our web site are; Ross's first TV appearance in 1972, singing the 'Sounds of Peppermint' (featured on the bonus 'Stuff' CD); 'Connie' from the 'Give 'Em Heaps' program plus other 'D3C' tracks such as 'Postmark Paradise', 'Sedel' and 'Chaplin & Harlow',

The Lemmings

There's also the famous 1975 Flashez clip (donated by Mike Meade) of the only performance by the 'Lemmings' - a group featuring Ross, Mike, Mark Holden and Ross's boyhood pal; the sadly late but always great Paul Sullivan ..oh yea - and a cardboard guitarist named Bruce.

And to bring things slightly up to date, there's also another couple of songs from last year's Glen Combo 'New Capers' gig.

In coming weeks we'll be adding to the collection with appearances from 'Hey, Hey It's Saturday', Sunbury '73 plus more from the very indulgent 'Give 'Em Heaps'.
